
An office of Bangladesh Medical Association (BMA), district chapter, was opened at district Hospital Road of the town here on Sunday amid much enthusiasm to the doctors. President of central BMA Dr. Mostafa Jalal Mohiuddin formally inaugurated the office for the district BMA on Sunday through cutting a red tape and cake as the chief guest and general secretary Dr. Ehteshamul Haque Chowdhury was present at the event as the special guest. Moderated by Dr. Md. Shahinul Islam Mondal, joint secretary of BMA district unit , the inaugural function was also addressed among others, by Vice president of the organization Dr. Md. Jamal Uddin Chowdhury, Civil Surgeon Dr. AKM Akteruzzaman, president of district BMA Dr. Md. Matiar Rahman, and general secretary Dr. Md. Nazrul Islam. The speakers in their speeches urged the members of the BMA to get united more and to strengthen the organizational activities till the grass root level to attain the cherished goals of the organization. Dr. Mostafa Jalal Mohiuddin in his speeches said the organization has been working relentlessly since its inception aim to promote the medical and allied sciences, and to maintain the honor and interests of the medical profession. Later, a special munajat was also offered seeking the divine of Almighty ALllah and welfare of the office and its bearers so that they can perform their organizational activities side by side with protecting the interest of the physicians following the rules of the organization. The members of district and central BMA, town elite, invited persons including the journalists were present on the occasion.
