SEU Signs MoU with Washington University of Science and Technology

Southeast University (SEU), Bangladesh has officially signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Washington University of Science and Technology (WUST), USA. 

The MoU was signed in a formal ceremony held at the Washington University of Science and Technology campus in Alexandria, United States on June 19, 2025. The agreement aims to foster mutual development through joint research initiatives, faculty and student exchange programs, academic innovation, and shared learning resources between the two institutions. 

The MoU was signed by Prof. Dr. Yusuf Mahbubul Islam, Vice Chancellor of Southeast University, and Mr. Abubokor Hanip, Chairman and Chancellor of WUST. Also present was the President of WUST, Dr Hasan Karabuk.

Speaking on the occasion, Prof. Dr. Yusuf Mahbubul Islam expressed enthusiasm about the partnership, stating, “This MoU opens up new horizons for our students and faculty, enhancing international exposure and research collaboration in a meaningful way.” 

Dr. Hasan Karaburk emphasized the significance of the partnership in promoting global academic excellence and innovation. He remarked, “We are delighted to partner with Southeast University in this initiative to advance shared knowledge and global engagement.”

This agreement reflects SEU’s continued commitment to broadening its international footprint and providing quality global education opportunities for its students and faculty.
