Discussion on the Significance of Ramadan and Iftar Mahfil Held at Southeast University

On the occasion of the holy month of Ramadan, Southeast University organized a discussion meeting on the significance of Ramadan followed by an Iftar Mahfil. The program was held on Thursday, March 5, 2026, at the university’s Multipurpose Hall.

Mr. Rezaul Karim, Honorable Chairman of the Board of Trustees of Southeast University, attended the program as the Chief Guest. Advocate Niaz Ahmed, Honorable Member of the Board of Trustees, was present as the Special Discussant. The event was presided over by Professor Dr. Yusuf Mahbubul Islam, Vice Chancellor of Southeast University.

The keynote discussion on the significance of Ramadan was delivered by internationally renowned Mufassir, a graduate of the Islamic University of Madinah, and Khatib of the historic Rahim Metal Jame Mosque, Hafez Maulana Mahmudul Hasan Momtazi. 

In his speech, he highlighted the teachings of Ramadan, emphasizing spiritual purification, self-restraint, and the values of compassion and humanity. He also conducted a special munajat (supplication) at the event.

Among others, members of the SEU Trust Board of Trustees, Pro-Vice Chancellor of SEU, the Registrar, Deans of different faculties, Department Heads, faculty members, and officers and staff of the university were present at the program.
