Southeast University Hosts Int’l Summit on Three Zero Policy
The School of Business at Southeast University (SEU) in collaboration with the CSCA, SBIF, SEUDC hosted a day-long "International Summit on Three Zeroes Policy" at Southeast University Campus on Monday, June 30, 2025.
The event commenced with opening remarks from Prof. Dr. Mofazzal Hossain, Pro-Vice-Chancellor of Southeast University. The first session featured Mr. Ashraful Hasan, Chairman of Grameen Group, as Chief Guest, who shared his experiences building Grameen Bank projects. The session was chaired by Vice Chancellor of SEU Prof. Dr. Yusuf Mahbubul Islam.
The summit brought together a distinguished speakers consisting of policymakers, academics, industry experts, diplomats, and youth leaders from 6 countries around the globe. The event was dedicated to fostering dialogue for Policy making actionable strategies for achieving zero poverty, zero unemployment, and zero net carbon emissions.
The closing session featured an esteemed panel of guests who shared their insights on the path forward to build project aligned with the vision of THREE ZEROES. Mr. Muhammad Fouzul Kabir Khan, Honorable Advisor to the Government of the People's Republic of Bangladesh, graced the event as the Chief Guest.
The chief guest, in his speech, the chief guest emphasized crucial areas like renewable energy, sustainable development, and poverty alleviation in his speech. He highlighted cooperation to advance innovative solutions and sustainable development in Bangladesh.
He also spoke about installing rooftop solar panels in offices, courts, schools, and colleges. He stated that a collaborative spirit is essential to inspire future generations of leaders and entrepreneurs.
Prof. Dr. Abdul Hannan Chowdhury, Honorable Vice-Chancellor of North South University and Chairman of Grameen Bank, served as the Guest of Honor. Mr. Rezaul Karim, Honorable Chairman of Southeast University Trust, delivered a special address, and Prof. Dr. Yusuf Mahbubul Islam, Honorable Vice-Chancellor of Southeast University, gave the opening remarks for this session.
The summit underscored Southeast University's commitment to addressing global challenges and fostering a sustainable future through collaborative efforts and innovative solutions.
