Action Plans for a Child-Friendly Welfare State
Speakers in a function here today underscored the need for adopting Acton plans for the children to build child friendly welfare state for the next generations.
“ As the children are the future of the nation, it should be wise to adopt welfare activities for the children to help them groom up with humanitarian qualities from their child hood ”, they also said.
They made the comments while they were addressing a two-day long child welfare affairs Workshop at the conference room of SKS Inn, located an outskirts of the district town here this noon.
Area program office of World Vision Bangladesh, a Christian development, humanitarian and advocacy organization arranged the function.
An inaugural session was also held with area program manager Utoom B. Das in the chair. The session was also addressed among others by program quality coordinator Sohrab Hossain, and journalist Sarker Mohammad Shahiduzzaman.
Then the participants were divided into groups and gave their recommendations for the welfare of the children here. They also mentioned the challenges which are barriers for the welfare of the children.
Over 50 participants coming from different professional groups including GO NGO officials, and stakeholders of the society, invited persons took part in the function.
