Southeast University Launches Two-Day Long ‘Job Fair 2026’
In a major initiative to bridge the gap between academic excellence and the dynamic corporate world, Southeast University (SEU) officially inaugurated the highly anticipated "Southeast University Job Fair 2026" today at 10:00 am at its multipurpose hall.
The two-day premier career event, running through May 7 at the university premise , serves as a vital networking hub for students, alumni, and top-tier employers.
The grand opening ceremony was graced by Mr. Sayed Bin Abdullah, Special Assistant to the Honorable Prime Minister (Youth Employment), who served as the Chief Guest, emphasizing the critical importance of youth empowerment in the national workforce. Engr. Md. Shamsuzzaman Nasim, CIP, Managing Director of Micro Fibre Group joined as Special Guest, who shared valuable industry insights. A special address was also delivered by Advocate Niaz Ahmed, Member of the Southeast University Board of Trustees.
Presiding over the inaugural session, Professor Dr. Yusuf Mahbubul Islam, Vice-Chancellor of Southeast University, highlighted the institution's commitment to graduate employability. Other distinguished academic leaders who addressed the audience included Professor Dr. M. Mofazzal Hossain, Pro-Vice Chancellor; Major General (Retd.) Anwarul Islam, Registrar; and Professor Dr. Md. Serajul Islam, Convener of the event and Dean of the School of Business Administration.
The job fair has successfully attracted 55 multinational and prominent local organizations spanning a diverse array of sectors. Participating industries include banking and financial services, automobiles, pharmaceuticals, telecommunications, IT, healthcare, hospitality, electronics, and real estate.
Beyond recruitment, the SEU Job Fair 2026 is deeply focused on career development, featuring specialized sessions and two expert-led seminars designed to foster professional growth among young job seekers. Expected attendees for these sessions include distinguished guests such as Professor Dr. Md. Anwar Hossain, Member of the University Grants Commission (UGC), Mr. Santonu Hasan, Country HR Manager, Intertek Bangladesh, Muhammad Zahid Al Beruni, Director, Operations, Advanced Chemical Industries PL among others.
The fair will conclude with a grand closing ceremony on May 7. Mr. Md. Zonaid Abdur Rahim Saki, Honorable Minister of State for the Ministry of Planning, is expected to grace the concluding event as the Chief Guest, alongside Special Guest Mr. T.M. Asaduzzaman, Senior Education Specialist at the World Bank.
