ADWIZ 2.0 ends at BRAC University with BUP team as champion

BRAC University hosted the grand finale of the nationwide advertising competition ADWIZ 2.0 on its Merul Badda campus on Saturday (15 August 2026), where two student teams from the Bangladesh University of Professionals (BUP) emerged as champion and first runner-up.

A team from BRAC University secured the second runner-up position in the competition, which was organized by the BRAC University Business Club (BIZ BEE) and attracted more than 750 teams from 50 universities across the country.

BRAC University Registrar Dr David Dowland presented prize money of Tk 2 lakh, Tk 1 lakh and Tk 50,000 to the winning teams Unnoyon (champion), 1st Timer (first runner-up) and AdVerse (second runner-up) respectively. 

Speaking at the event, Dr Dowland said learning becomes more meaningful when students can connect classroom knowledge with real-world challenges and develop practical solutions.

As part of the competition, participating teams developed advertising concepts and integrated marketing campaign strategies for a designated brand, showcasing their creativity, research capabilities and strategic thinking.

The finalists presented their ideas before a panel of industry professionals, who evaluated the submissions based on research, creativity, problem analysis and solution-building capabilities.

The judging panel comprised Imranul Kabir, assistant general manager, Brand & Marketing, Safwan Bashundhara Global; Mahmudur Rahman Bhuiyan, director, Field Marketing Operations, ACI; Mohammed Zia Uddin, supply director, Reckitt; and Khairul Basher, director, Office of Communications, BRAC University.
