SEU Welcomes Fall 2025 Freshers 

Southeast University (SEU) warmly welcomed newly admitted students of the Fall 2025 Semester through a Freshers’ Reception and Orientation Program held on October 23, 2025, at the university’s Multipurpose Hall. 

The Orientation Program consisted of two separate sessions, organized by SEU’s academic schools to greet and guide students from various departments as they embark on their academic journey.

The inaugural session hosted students from the Departments of Architecture, EEE, CSE, Textile Engineering, and Bangla. The event was highlighted by the presence of Chief Guest Prof. Dr. Syeda Sultana Razia, Member, Bangladesh Energy Regulatory Commission. 

Later that same day, the second session welcomed students from the BBA and MBA programs, along with the Departments of Economics and English. This session featured Prof. Dr. Mohammad Siddiqur Rahman Khan, Dean, Faculty of Arts, University of Dhaka, as the Chief Guest.

The speakers encouraged the students to embrace their current department or position and put forth their utmost effort to succeed. A key piece of advice was to never pause their personal growth at any point in life, but rather to always maintain a state of readiness so as not to miss any potential opportunity.

All sessions were presided over by Prof. Dr. Yusuf Mahbubul Islam, Vice Chancellor of Southeast University. Prof. Dr. M. Mofazzal Hossain, Pro Vice Chancellor, and Maj Gen Md Anwarul Islam, SUP, ndu, psc (Retd), Registrar, also addressed the students, along with the respective Deans and Department Chairs.

The programs aimed to introduce students to SEU’s academic environment, institutional values, and available resources marking the beginning of a vibrant and enriching university experience.
